STORY: Sumatra Mandheling is processed using the wet hull method, a technique unique to Sumatra. Unlike traditional washed coffees, wet hulled coffees have their parchment removed before drying. Due to the unpredictable weather in Sumatra, quick drying is essential to preserve quality. This method contributes to the coffee's earthy flavor. The wet hull process emerged out of necessity, resulting in a distinctive taste.
