Brew Guide - Aeropress
What you need:
- Medium-Coarse Ground Coffee - 16-17 grams
- Water - 200ml/200 grams (210ºF)
- Aeropress
- Aeropress Filter
- Gooseneck Kettle
- Scale
- Timer
- Grinder
Step 1: Wet & Set Filter
Place the Aeropress Filter into the cap of the Aeropress and wet it with the heated water. Make sure the filter absorbs some of the water.
Step 2: Attach the Filter & Assemble
Screw the Filter onto the bottom of the Aeropress and connect the two pieces together.
Step 3: Add the Coffee
Pour your Ground Coffee into the Aeropress
Step 4: Pour Water on the Grounds
Pour the heated Water over the Grounds evenly, and allow for the coffee to bloom by letting it sit for 45 seconds.
Step 5: Fill Aeropress & Place
Stir the coffee for 15 seconds and then fill the Aeropress to the top with the rest of the Water. Place the Aeropress on top of your cup/mug.
Step 6: Press Down
Press down slowly onto the Aeropress, stopping when you hear a hissing sound. The hissing is just the air escaping the press.
Sit back and enjoy a cup of your freshly brewed coffee!
